About Stourbridge HF Rambling Club
A Friendly Local Walking Club
Stourbridge HF Rambling Club (SHFRC) is a local walking club for people who enjoy walking, exploring new places and spending time outdoors with others.
Our walks take us through the countryside around the West Midlands and further afield, with a varied programme throughout the year.
Whether you're an experienced walker or simply looking for a friendly group to walk with, you're welcome to come and find out what we're about.
Walks for Different Interests and Abilities
Our programme includes a wide variety of walks, from shorter and easier outings to longer and more challenging days in the countryside.
Walks may take in:
-
woodland and country lanes
-
hills and open countryside
-
rivers, canals and reservoirs
-
villages and historic places
-
urban areas
-
local landscapes and areas further afield
Our walks are led by members of the club, giving us the opportunity to explore places that we might not otherwise discover.
Good Walks. Good Company.
For us, walking is about more than getting from A to B.
It's an opportunity to enjoy the countryside, discover new places and spend time with like-minded people.
Some people join for the walking. Others particularly enjoy the social side of the club. For many, it's both.
You don't need to arrive knowing anyone. Come along, enjoy a walk and meet the people who make SHFRC what it is.
A Club with a History
SHFRC has a long history of bringing people together through walking and exploring the countryside.
You can find out more about how the club began and how it has developed over the years on our History page.
Thinking of Joining Us?
If you're considering joining SHFRC, you don't have to make a commitment straight away.
You can come on up to three walks with us before deciding whether the club is right for you.
It's a chance to experience our walks, meet other members and see whether you enjoy walking with us.
