Not sure if SHFRC is right for you?
You can join us for up to three walks free of charge before deciding whether you'd like to become a member.
It's a great way to meet the group, experience our walks and see whether Stourbridge HF Rambling Club is the right walking club for you.
No pressure — just come along and enjoy a walk.
How It Works
1. Choose a walk
Take a look at our upcoming walks and choose one that suits your interests, fitness and experience.
2. Come along
Meet us at the advertised starting point and introduce yourself to the walk leader. Let them know you're new to SHFRC.
3. Try up to three walks
Walk with us on up to three occasions free of charge. There's no obligation to join.
4. Join the club
If you enjoy walking with us and decide SHFRC is for you, becoming a member is simple. Just complete our application form.
Membership
After your trial walks, joining SHFRC is simple.
Membership costs £10 per year plus a one-off £5 joining fee.
Membership gives you the opportunity to take part regularly in our programme of walks and other club activities, meet fellow walkers and explore new places across the West Midlands and surrounding countryside.
New to Group Walking?
If you've never walked with a club before, you might be wondering what to expect.
SHFRC welcomes walkers of different abilities, from people who are relatively new to group walking through to experienced walkers.
Our programme includes shorter walks as well as longer and more challenging routes, so you can choose walks that are appropriate for you.
If you're unsure which walk would be a good place to start, contact us and we'll be happy to help.
