Stratford upon Avon

A beautiful figure of 8 walk around Stratford-on-Avon. The walk starts in Stratford-on-Avon. Walkers need to get to the Stratford Park and Ride located off Bishopton Lane near to the roundabout with the A46 and A3400 Birmingham Road by 9.45am to catch the 10.00am bus into the town centre. DON'T FORGET YOUR BUS PASS! Parking is £1 for the day and those with a bus pass will be able to travel free into and back out of Stratford. The Park and Ride is well signposted and for Satnavs plesase use CV37 0RJ.
A suggested route from Stourbridge is to take the M42/M40 from the A491 (for those car sharing a convenient meeting point is the layby just off the Fairfield roundabout). Take the first exit off the M40 and take the A3400 through Henley-in-Arden and once nearer Stratford follow the signs to the Park & Ride.
The morning walk is about 6 miles, lunch will be optional with many options in the town though a general favourite is Weatherspoons. The afternoon will comprise a short circular route around the other bank of the Avon before catching the Park and Ride bus back to the car park.
