The walk of 3 miles with no stiles starts at 10am from the free car park close to the rear of the Matalan store at Merry Hill.

Drive to Merry Hill and take the access road between B and M garden store and T.K.Maxx.
Postcode to these stores:- DY51SY.
Continue along the access road until you reach the rear of Matalan.
Continue a short distance passing B4 blue sign. Ignore the road to your left service vehicles only and the car park is on your left.
The entrance barrier is broken and permanently locked. Access the car park through the exit barrier which is permanently kept open.
The walk takes us through part of the Saltwells nature reserve viewing on route the Doultons clay Quarry. The Netherton
Reservoir and the site of the Bell mines before returning back to the cars.
